Message to All South Sudanese

The Catholic Church arrived in Yambio Diocese on December 12 1912 and the Catholic
Bishop of Tombura-Yambio issued a message of peace and reconciliation to all who took
part in the centenary celebrations of the Church in Western Equatoria State where nearly
73,000 people celebrated 100 years of Catholic presence in Mupoi under the theme
“Courage, stand up and walk.”
