Centenary Celebrations Marked
With Pomp and Colour In Yambio
Western Equatoria State (WES) witnessed one of the most peaceful and colourful Christmas
and New Year celebrations in South Sudan. The residents largely enjoyed the festive season
as some travelled to their villages to celebrate with their families, others travelled out of
the country to be with those still in the Diaspora. Gurtong’s Correspondent Joseph Nashion
reports on the festive season and the Centenary celebrations for the Catholic Church in the
state.
